weird one

Ok now my car runs fantastic... but there is a small issue. Occasionally in 1st to 3rd gear and no higher, at higher rpm's at full throttle the car kinda bogs in and out... now I have an apex'i avcr boost controller that probably isn't hooked up correctly, and occasionally will only show me at 10 psi when the bogging appears. If I am on the interstate and give it WOT it reaches 14 psi with no hesitation. Car runs great at 14 psi... upgrades are (The boost controller, 5zigen exhaust catback, greddy trust filter,) I have a fuel cut defencer that needs to be installed, oh, and I have an aftermarket fuel pump. I don't feel it to be fuel cut because that would feel like hitting a brick wall... this feels more like a rev limiter feels when u reach it. My only guess is that with the aftermarket fuel pump, it dumps too much fuel in too fast, and it runs rich until the gas runs through. So do u think all I need is to put it on the dyno after the FCD is installed and have it tuned? And after an adjustable fuel pressure regulator is installed with the Boost controller correctly adjusted??? It is hooked up properly, but it is like understanding japanese when it comes to setting it up...
(700.00 peice of confusion if u ask me) But is that all I will need after the necessary things have been installed? a tune up?

put the stock fuel pump back on.

w/ those mods your are not overworking the OEM application and therefore could be causing unecessary issues like your already assuming.

a greater LPH fuel pump will not increase HP.
Fuel Management thru mapping.\

w/o increasing your injector pulsewidth your not getting anymore fuel anyways.
all your doing is supplying more fuel... and returning more fuel to the tank

I bought the car like this, so I imagine that the stock feul pump took a crap, and he decided to upgrade. Which doesn't really bother me, but I still can'e figure out why it is bogging at high rpm's and only occasionally. Like if I got on it and it ran fine, the next time directly after it would seem like there was too much fuel already there to process.

you need need engine diagnostics... o scope.... modus.... something to view sensor outputs. otherwise...

you need to decide whether its air or fuel or electrical.

pretty much if you don't know what your doing your just shooting into the dark

you can test an o2 sensor w/o a dyno...

unless your o2 is suck and bias rich it will have no effect on this situation

but then you'd have this problem at all ranges not just accell

He's right ^ You gotta get a voltage reading via scan tool. If you were here I'd let you use my OTC 4000e. If your O2 is gimped or you even think it is, ditch and get a new one. I just bought a Denso for cheap www.oxygensensors.com
Just replace the O2 regardless. I had that same issue and the check light would sometimes come so I did the blink code test and Wallah! Bad O2.

ok

Sorry for the confusion guys, I just meant that by putting the car on the dyno with the broadband 02 sensor they could chech what my air to fuel was to see if too muchfuel is being dumped in at higher rpm.... maybe cause of a leaky injector, or something like that... thats all I meant

you don't need to have it dyno'd for that... a lab scope set to monitor injector pulse width is all you need. either way your gonna have to have somone look at it. but i imagine a dyno run will cost a hell alot more than a simple diagnostic hook up
