Getting ready to either make or buy a production style roll cage, so before I do I wanna see whacha got. Jefkyl 'n' Hyde, Now I know you have a cage.....
Actually, I do not have a cage. At least not yet.
There are very few MR2s out there that actually have a cage and I would strongly, strongly advise against a cage on a car that gets street driven.
Hyde has a 6-point roll bar.
Mine was custom made to meeet NHRA 10.00-11.49 second rules and the SCCA Solo 1 rules.
I love the interior.. nice seats, and you kept some of the original interior.. Most people take all of the interior out, fabricate sheetmetal, and make it a race only Blah looking car... But you only took out the lower carpets from what I can see... I like it, good job!!
Those photos were taken just after I got the roll bar installed ... all the carpeting is installed again. Thereisn't anything missing from the interior.

Ya, now thats done Klassie. How is the rear view vision? I bet that really makes things stiff huh? I do use mine for street, but its mainly a weekend/track car. Sounds like I don't really need it unless I'm 11.99 ET or quicker. I had to add a cage in my RX-7 because of that. It really helped the RX-7 stiffness, but there lite years from an MR2 in the chassis dept. The only good thing about an RX-7 is the motor, the cars are actually kinda junky and cheap. MR2's aare waaaaaaaaaay better, I think.
How bout just a harness bar? Does anyone make them for the MKII? My buddy has one in his WRX and they work great for the 5 point.
Jekyl- I never did use those longer studs you sold me. LOL! I thought buying the correct offset and width made more sense. ( via-17 x 9 + 38mm)
Drag racing isn't my main focus either ... regardless, the rear visiblity is find fromthe side mirrors. The rear-vew is pointless now as the bar + padding takes up most of what you would see out of therear window.

Being I drive on the street too I just thought I'd ask the rear view question. haahaaa. My friend has an RX-7 (FD) and the rear horizontal bar runs right with the mirror and its soley a street car.
Nice!!! I really like that you left all the interior in tact... makes it look nice, and professional... So is it an SCCA car with all that power? And is it your Daily Driver?
Also Raising Arizona... your sig isn't appearing.. let me know if u need help
