Moroso oil pan

I was thinking about getting the Moroso oil pan for my 3sgte and someone said I would need to get a pick up for it.

Exactly, what do they mean, if anyone can tell me?

Thank you.

They are reffering to the oil pick-up. But I don't think you need a different one, stock should work. If I'm wrong someone will correct me.

yes, please. I am wondering as well. If I do need a pick up, would it be because the pan is possibly deeper than the stock?

I don't think the pan is any deeper than stock. It has kick-outs to increace volume.

It even says at the bottom of the page to use stock pick-up.

I would not recommend this piece.
From what I recall, there are serious issues with exhaust interference ... apaprently it was designed on a car that had not had the exhaust in place

I recall reading some issue with the Moroso oil pan quite a while ago (couple of years ago) on mr2oc. You might try doing some research there.

i don't see how an oil pan helps woth performance anyways... until you have a problem w/ oil supply in your motor... i wouldn't even bother. if you think it looks cool well then just paint the stock one pink or something. that will proly draw the same amount of attention.

Well, I'm getting a custom exhaust built, so the whole thing about that wont be a problem.

The reasons why I am thinking about that pan is because I'm getting ATS's stroker and I'd like to have a new pan with it as well, also cause I dont feel like drilling a hole for the return line. So yeah, I'm lazy at one point.

If you are getting a custom exhaust built ... you are going to need a custom downpipe for your turbo. From what I recall, the issue with the oil pan is that it is right in front of where 95% of downpies exit.

Good luck with your project.
