Steering Wheel

Do I need to do anything special to put an after market steering wheel on? I know I need the hub and horn buttom. My steering wheel right now has an airbag in it. What do I need to do about it?

There is a special "start-shape" screw driver that you need to removed the air bag.
I *think* it might be called a torque driver or something like that.

At any rate, on either side of the wheel, there are 2 little covers.
Remove those covers and you will see 2 of these screws on either side.
Undo all four and the air bag can be pulled forward.

From there, there is a long cord attached to it that has a sort-of complex connection.
It's not hard to figure out. Just undo that connection and the bag will be free.

Yip

Depending on where u are from... and which autoparts place u go to purchase this key item we are all talking about.... u could call it a Star Drive, or a Torx... Basically look just like an allen wrench, but with 8 sides instead of 6.

I have a set of the wrenches, however, if you get into a binde you can stick a regular screw driver and it'll probably brake it loose. I've done that on occasion. Just make sure its a solid fitment.

unhook the battery before you do anything with an air bag.
