Maybe it's flashing in code?
If you jumper the correct terminals, it will flash in code to tell you what is wrong.

I suspect you blew your knock sensor (code #52).

???

Thats interesting Hyde, I did that in my firebird when I was 16 back in the day.... what terminals do u put it in...... the paperclip that is...and RS001, if u wanna do it cheap, go to advanced auto parts, they give u a machine to take out to the car, run the test, and give u what u need (info) for free

You need to jumper TE1 to E1 back in the diagnostic box on the engine/trunk firewall.
It's on the passenger side next to the MAP sensor.

ok

To give u an idea rsr001, with my 86 firebird waaay back in the dat, u would take a paperclip, unroll it, and place the two ends in the diagnostics box underneath the drivers side panel where the gas pedal is. Whichever the 2 holes u need to put it in. The check engine light will then flash a set number of times, like if if it beeps three times and then two times, stop three times two times, stop three times two times, stop this would indicate your first set of numbers in that line of code to be 32, 32, 32. It flashes the same number three times.... this means your first number in the code would be 32, then it would move to the second set of numbers... the check engine light would then read out three sets of the new numbers.... four flashes, stop one flash, stop, four flashes stop, one flash stop, four flashes stop, one flash stop, this indicates the second number in the order given by the ecu. So now u have already had three sets of 32, and three sets of 41, your your first two numbers are 32, 41 you continue this until the first set of numbers repeats itself.... so lets say there was only one number other than the starting number, it would finally look like this.
32, 41, 32
You can then go to the auto parts store and ask what these codes represent, and find out what u need to purchase to make the problem go away... Hope this helps. Brian

the code will not tell you what you need to fix... it will point you in the right direction...

and yes you can go to a local parts store if you can't figure out the flash code thing...

i have a apexi power fc ECU.finaly spoke to a apexi dealer.they said its flashing a warning light for one of only two reasons. injectors maxed out or a bad map sensor.more then likely i need some good tunning. they said testing it with te1 to e1 wont work.so yea i know i did it right
