Pull the key out and turn it around... All locks get old sometimes if you use the other side of the key and giggle it a little it'll budge.

If that doesn't work bring your information to the dealership and have the dealership cut a new key from your VIN number. You probably will have to prove the vehicle is owned by you though. With this new key it should open. If it doesn't then you've got a messed up lock.

I tried to get a key cut from the dealer and a locksmith. and they both told me my '91 was too old and that info was no longer available. So it couldn't be cut that way. And copying the old one will not help. I ended up having my tech friend, who is very good by the way, remove the lock and take out 1 tumbler. and that worked. I was able to use my key to unlock them after that. He charged me $90.00.. The dealer wanted $400.00 for new locks!!!

Wow thats pretty ridiculous! I went to the dealer like last summer for new keys on my 91... Used my VIN to find the key stuff it was just 10 dollars a key. Bought two keys. You guys need better dealerships. No info is too old.

Shieet i called AAA and they had a locksmith come out for free... and they said they only cover ignition keys... but since he came out anyways he said he made me an ignition key when he really made a driver's door.... didn't cost me a penny...
