2nd Generation Power Windows and Locks Problem

I have a problem with my passanger lock and window. I don't know what is wrong. All the motors work. I know the switchs are good as well. I can't get the lock on the passanger to lock if i hit either switch but it will lock the drivers side. As for the windows the switch on both sides worked at one point. I was taking out my speakers on the doors and after I installed all the door trim switchs the windows didn't work. I checked the harnes inputs into the car and they're connected but I'm not sure where I should begin to check anything. If you could let me know what I should check or what could be the problem? It would be awsome to those who can help thanks....

ok imma explain how it works then define the problem...

the entire passenger side switch gets it power from the driver's side switch.

now minus the power mirror controller everything else is on the same circuit... door locks and windows...

now your saying the pass window and door lock doesn't work...? but everything for the driver's side works...?

so you either have an issue w/ the power being supplied to the pass side or and issue w/ the switch itself

In most power window systems, power goes to the drivers console and is controlled by its switches. There is also a separate, always hot power wire that goes from the console to the passenger’s window switch. This allows for operation of this window by its own switch.

Some times the wiring going between the doors and frame gets frayed or broken as a result of the door opening and closing.

Start at the drivers console; see if it is getting power from the car. If there is no power here, the passenger’s side window will not work. If the console is getting power, check to see it is getting to the drivers side switch. There should be power coming from both the console (when its switch is operated) and the separate always hot power wire that is controlled by the passengers switch.

Okay I openned the door and took the harness out found two loose wires. A red one and a green one. I clipped them and added some wire and crimped them together. Taped it all together. I got the power windows and switchs all working. But I now just can't get the door. I got the drivers and passanger switchs to work but the power lock on the passanger won't work. Anything I should check before I have the dealer replace the motor. Or where I should get the motor changed.

well... those if i remember correctly the green and red wire are the two wires for the power window.

can you lock and unlock using the driver side switch... lock/unlock the pass side from the driver's side...?

if you can you do not have a lock solenoid problem you have a wiring problem... those two loose wires you found just assume there are more there for the power locks too... check them before anything.

I can use the either switch and it unlocks the drivers side only never the passanger door. I pulled the wire harness for the passanger side to. The harness looked good from my naked eye.
