Trunk Lock

I was openning my trunk to get somethings out. I put my key into the lock and try to turn it right and won't go. Well I took the key out and tried again. Nothing so I turned it left and worked like a charm. Well Left locks the inside as well. Now the cable release won't work for the inside. I tried over and over to turn it right and nothing. Now I can't open the trunk at all. Any ideas?

yea a saftey issue w/ all MR2's is turn to the left and the trunk locks out the inside release...

i actually had this same problem before... i actually drove the car for a few hours and road vibration freed up whatever was catching the lock cylinder... and i haven't had the same problem again...

if this doesn't work your prolly going to have to drill out the cylinder and replace it...
