2nd Generation supra turbo not an upgrade?

i heard like 100 times that i could put a ct26 from a supra, and i called the shop so i could rebuild it and then install it, i told him that i also heard, that i could put the exausth side from MY turbo to the supra one ( better for the doble waste gate), he says, that the down pipe will not fit on the supra turbo, also if i change the waste gate, he says is not better, cause the exausth side of my turbo its smaller than the supra exausth. He says i should just rebuild the turbo and dont change parts. HE says he knows.

OR DOES HE......???

HELP!!!

where? well, in exchange for the one i have, cause th supra one its a litle bigger, or mix the compresor side from the supra and the exausth side from the mr2, the mechanic says i cant use the supra turbo on my mr2, neither change parts or mix them.he says if i mix them the exausth side of the supra wont bolt to the down pipe.

are you talking about making a twin sequencial turbo set up...?

or replacing the stock w/ the supra turbo...?

or splitting the turbo... and combining parts...?

depends what you think a good power upgrade is... the supra turbo exhaust side used with the compressor housing and a modified internal wastegate to fit will out flow even the ct27... there was a time slip posted by mr2matt at 12.9 on the 1/4 and blew his motor because he ran out of fuel... now think if he ran out of fuel that mean that turbo hasnt reached the limit yet now has it?

tamalpro- to answer your question the exhaust side bolts up and the center section is the same... the compressor housing and inducer is different... the mr2 housing must be used other wise the supra internal wastegate rod will hit the manifold...

now you tell me which exhaust housing is going to flow more...

even though this is not my picture im doing the exact same setup... a 50trim ct26 with a supra exhaust housing... my downpipe flanges were ordered from BICpreformance.com
