Twin Entry Turbo

Well I have don't know what kind of turbo to head for. This is what leads me to ask for your advice. I was trying to find a turbo that will have easy on 30psi, spool around 3,000rpms on a 2.2liter, I also want to keep the twin entry the motor was designed around and ball bearing. What turbo would be right for me? Is there any other twin entry or divide housing turbos out there?

No I dont have a NA and no I don't have stock motor. I have a 2.2 stroke ats racing block. Which is a 3sgte block bored to 2.2 and a 5sfe crankshaft has been machined to accept 3sgte connecting rods. I can hold 30 psi I made sure they made the block to hold it. I just need to find a turbo I want.

I've done over 30 psi on my 2.14 stroker.

MRQturbo, did you mean GT35R? ... he indicated that low-spooling RPM was one of his interests.

I'm not talking crazy low on rpm. My powerband right now is 3000rpm's to 6000 rpm's. I want to have all my boost there. By the way jekylandhyde your like my hero....hahaha I don't mind a garret or greddy turbo. But I would like to keep the twin entry. Are the gt35r or gt45r divided housing turbo's?

I'm not aware of either turbo coming with a twin-entry design
and I really don't think it is that critical of a point to worry about.

What turbo are you running now?
Anything bigger than the Ct26 should pull till redline ... not just 6000 rpms.

I start pulling in the low 3000s, but I don't hit 200 ft lbs till just after 4K, but I redline at 8500 rpms.
I'll gladly give up 1000 Rs in the bottom if I pick up 2000 up top

I have a turbonetics t3/t4 hybrid turbo. That was how the motor acted before it was dyno tuned. After is a different story I really dont no. Tracks are closed and its cold outside. The fcd kept cutting in before the redline. Just needed the tuning.......

I talked to my mechanic about what turbo will be best based on what I wanted to achieve. He said that the gt35r won't cut it for me. He said the same turbo until I told him power levels. I plan on the new block to increase the redline and maybe put the compression to 9 or 10 over the 8.3 I believe it is..

What exactly are you looking achieve that he thinks the GT35R can't do?

What is your goal?

2nd Generation

well on the hp range 700 up. I really want 800. On the torque around 600 no less. He already told me I need to get a exhuast manifold replacement. But I'm not sure where to get one and a custom one in town is really really pricey.
