dot 3 for clutch!!

1/ wat u guys use for clutch fluid
i have a mk1 86 and i use dot 3 , same as my brake fluid
2/ i found myself adding clutch fluid every 2 week ( drop from top to half). is this normal? i find out cuz i felt hella hard to shift, and i chek reservoir was empty. i filled up, it ease out but stil
anyone know anyting bout dis.

probably your master cylinder leaking into the cab.... happens on early mk1's because the MC's were made of cast, not aluminum.....

dot 3 is hydraulic fluid... for a hydraulic system... all hydraulic systems are closed systems.... any loss of fluid is an indication of a leak.

leaks are pretty easy to find... fluid is shooting out somewhere when the clutch pedal is engaged
