91 Jdm Mr2 3sge Or 3sgte Swap

Ok, I have a 91 JDM MR2 na so that is the 3sge in it. The car was imported from Japan so it is a RHD. I have been reading and reading on forums, looking for information on whether I should keep that engine and just work on it go get better performance of whether I should swap it to the 3sgte. I would like to get it to about 275-300 rwhp if possible. Would it be better to stay with the 3sge or go to the 3sgte? Which would be more reliable? I understand that there is suposed to be heaps of information of these topics in these forums but I have had a hard time fining any. So I apologize for asking the question again.

Simple...3sgte of course.

I think the max with the 3sge would be somewhere close to 250-300whp all motor. But there would have to be alot of work put into it and I mean "modification". Something in the lines of ITB's, porting, balancing, yada yada yada.

But with the 3sgte, you can just do bolt ons. Like exhaust, intercooler, intake, turbo, and mbc. Bam, you'll be running close to 220-280whp depending on if you have a healthy engine. Slap on a few fuel upgrades and there you go, sitting on the 300whp line or even a few HP more.

Good luck on the decision.

???

This is a double post!!! As stated before.. the 3SGE is a 3SGTE without the turbo..... thats what the t stands for. Just add the turbo, but you might have to change the ECU and harness.

Ya, I stoped it when it was loading to fix a typo error. But apperently if posted it still. I tried to delete when I saw there were two but could find how to. How do you delete a post?
