i dunno...

harlem shake it ... joe rogin...

swap for a swap... take one out and put the other in... i hope you got a ECU... cause the non turbo has MAP sensor parameters way different from the turbo model... gonna fuck up your fuel delivery. i kno there is an issue w/ the axles too... other than that i've never heard of any swap problems...

tell ya what!!

there are alot more nuts and bolts there than u think there are, so if u are planning on taking this thing out from the top, and throwing alot of bolts into a bucket, u will be screwed!!! you have to have a lift, a place to put all the bolts in a certain order, and knowledge of what u are doing. If u have these things, good luck, but it is still a pain in the ars.

You do not need a lift only a cherry picker. also just invest in some zip lock bags and a marker and then tape the bolts to the corresponding pieces. its not that hard of a swap. hey Zz_005_zZ have you actually done a swap or are you just pulling shit out of your ass?

i'm sure he's just saying its easier to install from the bottom then to try to drop it in from the top...

it can be done both ways but its alot easier because you can lower the car so the trans/engine combo can be installed at the same time...

i can't imagine trying to squeeze both thru the top... and if he is just swapping motors w/o the trans then i guess it comes down to personal preference... i prefer a lift for any repairs... but some people don't have access and would rather struggle and save money... i do

wow

such harsh language and attitude...... tell ya what, go ahead abd do it the hard way... I haven't done a swap, but I have removed the engine.Doing it from the top is time consuming, and dangerous. I did it with engine and tranny attached, so I will say that yes I have done this b4, and no my ass doesn't hurt. Just make sure you do the S--T the right way or u will take much longer then u are expecting. And there isn't a need for attitude here, I was jest trying to help.
