ok, so a friend of mine recently bought an 87 mr2 with an auto. he wants to put a 5 speed into it. quick question. would the 5 speed in my corolla bolt up, other than having to fab up new linkages could we make it work?
other than above stated 'linkage' modifications.... yeah, it will work... same axles, clutch/flywheel setup, clutch fork placement (except you'll need the hydraulics from an mr2), etc...

ok, i had it wrong. its an 89 FWD 4cyl CAMRY..............i ahve been putting the wrong thing for a while now.....sorry for the mix up.
i understand the linkages, that is not my problem....now do you thing it would fit? the linkages can be done, but i just was wondering about the housing matching and fitting the connections
