fair asking price for 4a-ge engine + parts?

Hi everybody-

I've stripped a bunch of unneeded parts out of an 85 MR2 that I am repowering. This includes the engine (4a-ge according to the sticker on it) and most of the peripherial components (ecu, gas tank, radiator/fans/AC, etc)

I was able to run the engine before pulling it, but it is in need of a rebuild -- it has a rod knock.

What would be a fair asking price be for the engine (assuming it is worth anything at all) ? I am in the seattle area.

No, its not for sale now. I still need to sort out the various parts into junk / sell / keep heaps.

Thanks!

Brian

You'll be lucky to sell it at all. I've junked 3 perfect 4age motors as no one wanted them for $100.
