gen 2 vs. gen 3

ok i didnt used to think there was THAT much of a difference between the 2 other than a couple upgrades in the gen 3...but i was reading some stuff and the number of upgrades on the gen 3 is quite a few...it kinda even makes me think twice about building my gen 2 or saving the money to build a gen 3...if my goal is to be running in the 12's does it matter which motor i start off with or should i still go with the gen 3 for more power gain with fewer upgrades???

It does not take much to get a Gen2 into the 12s.

It might be easier to get into the 12s with a Gen3,
but is it worth the costs of buying another whole engine?

Where are you going to get parts for a JDM engine,
when you need them?

I'll never understand the fascination with the having a JDM/Gen3 engine.
