Car slow to start when cold. Not getting full boost until warmed up. Fuel filter?

You should always let the car and Turbo warm up before trying any real acceleration. The turbine side likes(needs) to be hot to function well. That is thier nature.

the computer retards the boost to 6-8 psi until the car warms up. if the hard turn over bugs you try getting a new battery with more CCA. (cold cranking amps). it will turn over faster there. as for the boost, its better that the car warm up before it recieves full boost, otherwise you'll get premature wear on the internals and turbo internals.

yea if your lacking cranking power... its your battery...

if your lacking power during the cold start... like hard to keep running... check your IAC or cold start injector

I am not trying to make the car fly in startup.... or make it run fast all the time... I figured that u would say all that, and I am glad to hear that this is normal. TYhe battery is new, and is a dry cell battery (lightweight). The cranking amps are fine, and it turns over rapidly. The car starts, but bogs at first startup, and occasionallt stalls unless u give it a little gas, like 1 quick rev, and then it runs perfect. It is not a serious issue, but i figured maybe the fuel filter might be a place to look, before it gets worse, never the less, I like everything running perfect, and even though this isn't a huge issue, I know there just seems something minor amiss. So my guess is the fuel filter?? The fuel pump is a new walbrough...??? lph. It came with the car when I bought it, and I know it is unnecessary, but it wasn't done by me. Might also be the fuel sending unit, as I hear a wining noise occasionally like a bilge pump would sound.... and only comes on rarely, like the cooling fans would. So to me everything seems like it would be fine other than the cold startup thing.... where it dies occasionally, and I need to rev once to get it to normal... (this only happens when it is 40 degrees outside).

the sending unit doesn't "send" fuel... it sends a signal...

find your cold start injector and have someone start the car and put your hand on it... feel to see if it clicking... i mean its a narrow way to test but gets the job done.
