Synchros

I am thinking about doing the tranny synchro's at the same time that I am doing the stage 2 clutch, 9.5 lb. flywheel, and rear end seal... any ideas on the price??

they will come in a trans rebuild kit... cause when you break open the case you got some seals to change.... i've seen em around 300.00 for the entire thing.

check w/ toyota and then maybe autozone... and lastly check w/ a trans shop.

you should get three different prices... and three different qualities...

toyota being best, then trans shop and lastly always your local parts store

heh...i need one of these to my 2nd gear sucks..i diddent know they are that cheap, but i dont know how to fix transmissions so labor will be a ton....mabe i will just get that new lsd trans and axles

a manual transmission is very very easy... break open the case and there are three shafts...

gotta remove all the gears to change out sycros... just mark them all for position... be precise... to where each gear goes on the shaft. just make sure sycros and gear all face the right way and depending on the type of sycro (brass, paper, etc) pay attention to install details... like if they want them prelubed, installed wet, installed dry.

its pretty easy

hmmm.....i do have a extra 5sfe trans, i think i am gunna see if i can pull that apart and make it shift good still then see if i can do it to my 3sgte.
