Abv ?

I have a ZE in my AE92. I've always heard talk about bypassing the ABV on the supercharger to pick up a little more boost. Is there any downside to completely taking it out and fabing up a pipe to take its spot?

you don't 'pick-up' boost by doing the ABV. it helps when you are running more boost via larger crank pulley or smaller sc pulley. the downside i would see would be intake air going right past the SC and possibly reversion upon shifting.

i dunno about bypassing it.

do they make boost controllers for superchargers...

maybe putting some kind of restriction so it wouldn't see full manifold pressure at 8-10 psi

cause the only thing i ever heard was the pulley swap

Its a ZEX programmable Throttle Positioning Sensor. It was the only way at the time for it to work. Its like a Nitrous hit everytime. Also it kinda gives the S/C a little bit longer life

For the fact that its on demand. There when you need it. The computer doesnt control it. It doesnt engage off manifold pressure
