only 4 pounds of boost?

could my stock exaust system be so old and restictive that its only allowing my t606 turbo to hit 4psi at 3800 rpm ( and also make my car run like crap at WOT)?????????

the only thing could be restrictive in the exhaust is the cat .. if you have a TD06, then you already got rid of hte primary cat and I would hope/assume that you have an upgraded exhuast. They typically replace the secondary cat.

nope...well, i been doing a rebuild on this sucker for a while ( about on and off for 2 years), and before the rebuild i'v drove the car, or any mr2's for that matter so im not sure if the problem was there before i bought the car. the guy i bought it from said it blew up 3 times in one year and all three were from over heating.

and so... ever since i got this thing running, i'v been going through everything and now im pretty much left with exaust, the t-vis unit underneath the manifold, and what i believe might be a distribuator problem ( rotor arm).

but pretty much, the car cruises nice until boost comes into effect then it goes into peice of shit mode.
