line going to the turbo pressure sensor?

on my car, the line that goes from the intak manifold to the turbo pressure sensor has a circular plastic peice in the middle of it which i believe is referred to as a "jet". ( im not 100% sure). In my book, the vacuum diagram doesn't show a brake in the line what so ever. My question is if anyone elses car has the same (jet in the line)? if so, what is its purpose? thanks guys.

It's on all MR2T's. Believe it is a filter of some sort.

only thing i can think of is maybe right before vacuum turns to boost it acts as a restriction so boost (manifold pressure) fills faster in the manifold so the boost sensor doesn't see a lapse of some kind and cut fuel for a split second thinking you just let off the throttle.

i have really no clue... but if i had to put together a reason for a theory thats my guess.

If you are talking about something that looks like the photo below, it is just a filter:

i'v seen in other posts people say i can disconnect the turbo pressure sensor and fuel cut will be deactivated. is it fine to drive the car like this? is it just pluging the vacuum source that all is needed to do this?

Yes... that will disable fuel cut. Really won't do anything unless you have a boost controller.

You will lose fuel cut.
Fuel cut is in place to save your engine in case you over boost.

If you are confident that your boost control system will not over boost and/or you are okay with the possiblity of what might occur if you over boost, then you are fine to cork that line.

You will also lose the stock boost guage - it will not longer work.

the spring in my external waste gate is set at 10 psi i believe. so no matter what, that sucker should open before boost creep is reached. correct?

Boost creep and boost spike are 2 different things.

Boost spikes happens when there is an immediate jump in boost pressure and the wastegate can't respond waste enough and you overboost momentarily.

Boost creep is when when the wastegate system can't keep up with the flow of exhaust gases as the RPMs rise so boost starts to go above beyond where the wastegate is set.

Creep is the problem I had with Hyde last year. With my larger displacement engine, I was moving so much air (exhaust) that my poorly designed wastegate set up could not keep up ... so even though I was trying to run 14 psi, I would hit 27 psi by redline.

oohhhh... that makes a lot more sence! i didnt mean to sound like an idiot, its just that iv been in forums before were people used spike and creep as the same action. anyways, right now my bottem end is all stock so i hope my 38mm wastegate should work effeciently.... at least that is what iv read.
