Chassis Twist?!

I have a friend who owns a Mr2, and he was telling me that the problem with a T-TOP Mr2 is that when you drift in it, with out the t-tops being on, the chassis will twist. Is it possble that this can happen? Wondering outta curiosity.

Any chassis will some flex when it is being pushed,
I'm not sure I would call this a "problem" in the t-top cars.

my friend would always talk me out of buying a t-top mr2, so i bought a hard-top for that reason. come to find out, its not that big of a deal.
Hyde uses his t-top for hill climbs and stuff and his mr2 rocks!

Thanks, but it should be noted that I have a 6-point roll bar that greatly stiffens up everything. Additionally, lots of stuff on Hyde is stiffened up, so I think I see a lot less flexing than most MR2s.
