Well after bringing the car to toyota... (b4 I found my MR2 mechanic...)And seeing no happy results.. seeing as it was a freebie. What can u expect... I originally thought it was the Motor Mounts, as it made a clunking noise when going over bumps... but all of the motor and tranny mounts looked fantastic..... I then related it to suspension, and that is as well in pretty good shape... so baffled, after I got my mechanic...Found that it was the bushings that support the bar going from the Frame to the Axle, also known as the Torsion Bar. This was a pleasant suprise to me until I went to Toyota to find out that there was ano bushink kit to be purchased for this and (as well as ) many other parts. The entire torsion bar must be purchased and replaced costing a total of 100.00 a side. Just thought I would give some friendly advice to those who are seeking the same answer I had to look for for 3 months...Cheers.
