basic Q about 1st gen mr2. thinking of buying

whats the fuel tank capacity? curb weight? estimated MPG (city/hw)? let me know.


im thinking of getting one of these...
edmunds.com goes back to '90 only.

They weigh roughly 2400 lbs or so ... hold about 11 gallons and get around 30 mpg.

You could probably find more specific info on mr2.com or mr2oc.com.

generally the gas light comes on very early in toyota's..... very specifically i remember changing the pump in my old boss's 85 camry... drained the tank, and after adding 3 gallons it still turned the light on.... after he added more there weren't any problems...

i notice almost the same in the fiance's 86 mr2 and my 90 ae92.... i can drive around town 2-3 (or more, depending on how much I drive) days w/o adding and the gas light turning on/off....

its listed that all model MR2 recommends 91 octane? is this true with N/A?

ha, in all the bigport cars I've owned i always run low octane...... compression isn't high enough to cause any pinging..... so no, that isn't accurate

I run 87 octane in all of my MR2s except Hyde ... Hyde gets 110
