93 show winner with body kit, new paint, door jamb plates, $3,000 tires and rims, top shape N/A engine, air intake, great interior with leather & power, moon roof, tint, bass, LEDs (instrument and signal/parking/taillights), TRD fog lights, clear leanse headlights, intake, 163,000 miles, .. is an awesome and reliable daily driver.
***** Includes my project/mod parts for performance from a 92 turbo: engine/trans/axles (about 45,000 miles on it), front cross member with front end suspension parts/rotors/brakes (no struts/springs)... and rear brake units (calipers, discs, etc.), interior trim parts including instrument cluster 101,000 miles on odometer. South Texas car, no rust.
No time to finish (performance upgrades) so am selling to let someone else finish it.
I listed it on www.autotrader.com for $15,800. What's a good price? Thanks.
First of all, I think pictures would do you alot more help. Also, mods are always a loss in money, but you should go more into detail, what kind of wheels, tires, etc. This sounds like a show/project car, and judging by the info you listed so far, I'd hate to be the first to tell you, but you won't get $15k, maybe more like 5-6k, but like I said, pics would do you more justice.
Thanks. I'll compare with the others on autotrader.com and make an adjustment. The difference in it and some for sale in the mid and high teens is that the power train is already in place in the others.
I'll check the ad- it should have stated the 163k on the car and 45k on the engine.
I stated 4K in the ad as the cost new; my post here stating 3k was considering they are used-
And you know it's true that you just can't find a good LED anywhere anymore. they just don't make em like they used to
This car is waaay overpriced...seeing as it is a show winner u are already stating the great shape of the car. The N/A motor is gonna kill u on price.. As the people who are interested in buying an Mr2 are mostly looking for the turbo model... And will get teased as I am sure that u already kow when they are asked if it is turbo or not. Plus they hjave to put even more money into it, after the purchase of the car at 15,800??The seats look to be in mint condition...love the spoiler, and the hood... but the wheels are a bit to my disliking... JMHO..I would pay probably aroung 7- 8,000.00 simply because I think the car and parts are worth it... actually more probable at 10,000.00 As the Turbo models in good shape go for 6 - 8,000.00 alone.... that motor and all that good stuff should help the sale to a inthusiast. Who knows what the motor, ecu, tranny, axles, and etc go for.Sorry u have to sell it man!!! looks nice... shame to sell it for waay less than u have into it!!
Thanks for the replies. How about feedback on these options.
I have the 93 noted in this post. Also all the 92 turbo model parts.
I have a 91 N/A new paint, rims, good shape, all stock except headers, pipe and cool air intake. No body kit and seats need recovering or replacement. 194k with broken odometer.
I want to keep one. I could sell the 93 as is or for a turbo upgrade project. Or keep it, upgrade it myself and sell the 91.
Or I could sell the 93 as is (I have $9k in it) and upgrade the 91 to a turbo. I could possibly even rebuild the turbo using the N/A crank. (I believe I can do this with the stock pistons and rods ---?)
So, ... any feedback on the best choice for the MR2s. I have heard the turbo conversion is easier putting the 92 turbo into the 91 than into the 93. I have the 92 wiring harness, but not the 92 ECU or distributor.
