hooking up new speedometer

im hooking a autometer speedometer in my 92 mr2 with a 94 3sgte motor. i need to run one wire to the speed sensor and one to the ecu... has anyone done this? what color wires do i connect to on the sensor and ecu?? thank you guys -- keep it tOyOta !!!

how many wires come out of the sensor...?

and does it pigtail into two seperate harnesses or stay as one...?

cause a VSS is typically a pulse generator type sensor... meaning it has two wires. pos and neg. which you cannot branch one wire to the gauge and one to the ECU...

if it doesn't pigtail into two harnesses the only two wires must go to the ECU and from there it will send to the speedo gauge.
