Question found an MR2 in oregon, will it pass emissions in California?

I'm not really serious about buying it, but before i go ANY further into it i need to know if a 1991 mr2 TURBO from oregon will pass smog emissions in California.... i think some cars are different based on what state they are from but i'm not sure....cali emissions make things questionable

of course, i am not considering the possibility of removed cats on the car, i'm presuming the exaust is STOCK in terms of legality... i just dont know how easy-going oregon is about emissions compared to cali...and i cant buy a car that i cant legally drive in california.

so after thats answered, what do you guys think of one for 3800 dollars? i can post pics if needbe...its pretty nice looking... thats why i am thinking about it... 3800 doesnt seem bad for a turbo, if i can come up with the money and it will pass smog/is a good car.... then maybe, just maybe...she'll be mine.

----EDIT----

i apologise for the duplicate posts...something bad happened when i tried to post and it wouldnt submit the message after about a minute and my net clicked off soo...i had problems.

you need to check the Vehicle Identification Decal under then hood.

the one that lists the smog certifications... your basically looking TWC (Three Way Catalyst) and EGR.

Cali cares about NOx which most states don't. these are the two main NOx cancelling devices

allright, thanks a lot.

i'm not sure if i want one this old...its nice, but i've read about the modifications toyota did to the rear end and the engine past 94ish... and i think that i'd want that. but i dont know how much different it is....

i have a feeling this would be a heavily-debated subject though...and if it is, dont worry...i'll search around later. i havent checked on here or any forum for that info yet.
