What turbo for my MR2?

I think my CT26 may be going bad, so im trying to figure out which turbo to buy next? Maybe buy a blown ct26 and send it out for a rebuild? Or a ct20b, or some sort. I want something bigger then the ct26, but i dont want to upgrade any fuel or ignition as of right now. Dont have the funds for that. Looking to spend about $700 or less on a new, rebuilt, or used turbo. Also if anyone out there knows of any deals please let me know.

The best you're gonna do without buying used is prolly the CT27 from ATS Racing. Of course, buying used, you don't know that it will be any better than what you have now. You can rebuild your CT26 or go with the CT27. It does not require fuel upgrades. Any larger turbo will require that.

Keep an eye on the MR2oc for sale section. You can usually catch someone selling a used CT20b or CT27. I trust most of the users there than elsewhere. ^ Like he said though, used is used, but you can usually catch deals with low mileage as well.

Is there a website to other for sale adds i can look at?

What do you think of the ct20b? One guy I know east of me has a 3rd gen swap and only has basic mods and 14 pounds of boost with his ct20b. He ran a 12.2, and i have more mods then him. I would be happy with anything in the 12's. Can a low 12 be able to do with a ct20b?

I'll probably be selling my CT27 in the not so distant future.

How is that compared to the ct20b? How many miles, condition of the turbo, and around how much would i be looking at? Just the turbo? or manifold, wastegate, ect?

It is very comparable to a CT20B.... though I think people have put down more power with the 27. Has less than 3,000 miles.... internally gated so you get the wastegate... uses the stock manifold. I'm not sure how much I want to sell it for yet. Probably around $500 or so.
