going .20 over?

what kind of power gain will i be able to see from punching out my 3sgte .20 over, while keeping the compression ratio the same and using the stock rods? or at least power potential?

also, would it be worth lowering the compression ratio in exchange for more boost? what do u guys think?

how would you keep compression the same when you boring over...?

increasing cylinder size lowers compression unless your using wedge or dome pistons.

and if my memory serves me correctly twenty thousandths is .020.

and lowering compression definately would allow for more boost. is this a stock turbo or upgraded...? and what other mods do you have to compensate for such a major engine mod...?

sorry about the misplacement of my decimal. .020. anyways, my machine shop guy says he can order pistons that will either be stock compression or 8.5:1. So i assume that to be made to stock compression, there is extra material added to the piston... but i'm not sure.

for mods,

greddy tdo6 kit
ats external wastegate kit
kn filter
rps clutch
hks flywheel
new ignition components
greddy intercoller
... and i cant decide which exhaust to go with

I have a heavily modified deuce and i have as well bored my motor out as well. I can run 28psi (well once i get my new injectors that will suppl;y the fuel) through my motor and i can tell you right now by boaring it out if you can keep the stock compression you are going to keep more torque and bottom end then you would if you jsut lowered the compression. Personally i would say stay with the stock compression. merely becuase once you start lowering compression and raising boost it becomes iffy if gaskets will hold the amount of boost that you want to run. sdo in short stay with your stock compression you will be happier. trust me.

from what i'v read, i understand that the stock engine managment and fuel system is good for about 270-300 rwhp. is that correct? this motor is gonna be for a 80% daily driver and the rest is to play around here and there with my old honda buddies. any suggestions?

for the compression quote, i was thinking the same thing. i'd really hate to loose any bottem end power because it seems like my tdo6 doesnt spool up power till about 4000rpms. i'v never driven the deuce with the c-26 but in my manual it says it should hit full boost about 2800 rpms. is the extra displacement only gonna give me top end horses?

depends on cam profile and timing... w/ stock cams the shaved motor will just produce more of the same power you have now... to unlock the power your gonna need cams.

really, something like the hks cams. i really never gave it a thought but i'v researched buying a set from hks a long time ago. the 276's or something. is there a streetable set that u can think of or are they all pretty narley? also, the highest octane i have available where i live is 91... except the octane booster at wal-mart and stuff.

when u mean run the same without cams, is like it will keep the same power curve and i wont feel the power?
