2nd Generation Eibach Sportline VS Tein S tech's

I posted earlier about my car bouncing all over the road with my KYB AGX/Tein S-Tech set up.It was the worst ride ever. Just to let anyone interested know, I put the Eibach Sportlines on this weekend. They lower the car 1.6" front and back. The Tein's lower the car 1.5" front/1.7" back. I think the car looks better and also will allow a wider rear tire with the Eibach's. OK, AS FOR THE RIDE...YOU HAVE TO LOVE THE GERMANS!!!! MY MR2 rides better than factory.SOOOOOOOO smooth, and still lowered 1.6" all the way around....HUGE IMPROVEMENT OVER Tein S Tech's. Anyone looking to buy springs, dont waste your money on any Tein's. I was going to buy some Eibach's off a friend for $50.00 but they were the Pro Kit which only lower your car 1".The Eibach Sportline's are the best they make for the MR2 and I got mine shipped to my door within 24 hours after I ordered them form Qualified Japanese Parts in LA for $177.00....Hope this helps anyone interested.

I got the Tein S Tech / KYB AGX set up.

It bounces about cause they are stiff as fuck. You wanna descrease the bounce switch your KYB's to 4. Now your car won't bounce, But you will inside.

I made the comfort sacrifice cause i want my car to hold those turns in the canyons. And it does very nicely i might add.

I had the Eibachs put on the press (a machine the rates the stiffness of the spring) at my friends shop and they were much stiffer than the Tein's, which surprised me. The best ride I got out of the old set (Teins/KYB) was setting one. I was amazed, I assumed the stiffness of the Tein spring would be greater than the Eibach, but between the stiffness test and another test that rates bounce the Eibach had 1/3 the rebound rate of the Tein. You could visibly see the two in comparison, the Tein when given vertical input would rebound 6-7 time before settling, the Eibach on the other hand rebounded 2-3 times before settling.Anyways, all I know for sure is the Eibachs ride amazingly smooth and the car handles better in corners than before, on and off the track. This weekend I had the alignment set for the track (I did not put on my Mugen coil overs as I wanted to see the difference) and ran it 6-7 times around and was very pleased.I will still use my coil overs for track days as the height adjustment/caster/camber is much better, but would not hesitate to run it as is. Thanks for all the info..
