1987 mr2 headgasket

A friend and I might be picking up an 87 mr2 n\a 5 speed tommarow for pretty cheap. We might just part it out or replace the headgasket depending on how hard it is. So here's the question mr2 guys....How hard is it to work on these things and how much work are we looking at to replace the headgasket??? Is it true you have to drop the engine from the bottom and remove it and the cradle as one big piece?

Hmmm so you do have to drop the engine to change the head gasket. If it comes down to it should we remove the engine, cradle, trans, etc as one big unit?
