HKS FCD vs. Greddy FCD

whats up.
So im looking into buying a FCD now but im unsure of which one to go with. The HKS will limit to 20PSI max and the greddy i dont believe has a limit. Now i know that the HKS will still allow the factory fuel cut to operate only and a higher boost; what i want to know is, does the greddy totally disable the fuel cut? Does the Greddy FCD have no sort of fuel cut operation?
thanks victor91mr2

HKS FCD = fuel cut defence
GReddy BCC = boost cut controller

The HKS allows you to raise fuel cut up to a max of 17.75 psi (not 20 psi).
The HKS is nice in that you cna still have the fuel cut feature to protect your engine from boost spikes.

The GReddy unit eliminates fuel cut. It's gone. You will boost to whatever your system will allow, so you have to make sure you trust your boost controller or else you could see dangerous spikes.

You can also eliminate fuel cut for free by corking the vac line to the MAP sensor.
This will also disable the OEM boost gauge which really doesn't have much value anyway.

Basically the only reason to buy the GReddy BCC is to keep the OEM boost gauge working.

the Greddy BCC is worthless, just like the stock boost gauge. HKS is a good choice, otherwise just do what J&H said, plug the vac line. either way you should get an aftermarked boost gauge.

Are there any units that have a FCD and a boost controller in one unit, but with a digital gauge that shows boost. Sort of like an all in one unit.

There are boost controllers that have digital realtime boost displays. But I have never seen or heard of one that has a FCD. You should take Jekyls advice concerning the fuel cut issue and just buy a nice boost controller.

Yeah, I would want to go with an MBC but I figure for the price of a gauge and the mbc I could get something digital. It also doesnt hurt to have that extra layer of security to have fuel cut just in case.
