Alarm tone help?

Hi everyone,

Just picked up an 87 mk1 mr2 today.

122k miles on the clock, alright condition. (5 spd of course)
Ill get pics up later on .


Heres the issue:
When i start the car up, there is a loud alarm tone, sounds like its coming from right behind my head.
It lasts for about 2-3 seconds.

It goes away after this.

It didnt do this when i test drove it, i believe it had something to do with me or my friends tinkering around with the lights or switches or something.


Anyone have any suggestions or know what to do?

Alright, i found out it isnt only when i turn the engine on, it happens when i turn the key into the "on" position. Lasts for around 2 seconds, then turns off.
