Max boost will depend on fuel delivery, octane rating, and IC. On my setup I've got stock 440cc injectors and factory pump but a Berk Tech IC and I run 16psi daily on 93 octane. If your 2nd gen setup and have factory IC as well, I'd say run 14psi. Now if you're gen 3 setup, you can do 18psi w/IC upgrade. Just depends on those main 3 factors.
I've never actually talked to anyone with the berk-tech IC, but I've read good things.. How do you like it sw20drift? I don't think the ct20 has a maximum efficiency much higher than a ct-26, only a few psi. like 20ish? someone correct me if I'm wrong..

I've been very happy with the Berk Tech IC. For the price it can't be beat, comes with piping, couplers, shroud and fan. As for the "maximum" boost for the CT20, I've heard people running 20-21psi, but I doubt it produces much more power and I'm sure its not healthy without race gas.
Stock internals? I hit 17psi with my old ct26 and I was afraid of blowing something. My car was puffing smoke after a hard run after i would throw it in neutral.
The CT26 is very inefficient at higher boost levels (above 14-15 psi). You are safer running a CT20B at higher boost than a CT26 even though you are mkaing more power.
I would not run any turbo over 15 psi with the stock Gen2 fuel system.
The added power is not worth the added risk, IMO.
