Electrical problems...any ideas plz?

A number of things going on with my 1991 MR2 Nonturbo. Intermittent wipers only work when the steering wheel is fully tilted up. Driver side power door lock doesn't work. Passenger side mirror adjust doesn't work. Cruise doesn't work. My headlamps sometimes shut off when I use my blinker, this doesn't happen when on high beams. Again, putting the steering wheel fully up alleviates this. Are thise symptoms of one general problem or several problems. email is jayson@crgf.net. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thx

Sounds like maybe the contact spring assembly in the wheel itself maybe bad or just the wiring. Have you taken the wheel apart and looked at the wiring?

Sounds like a short in a wire (or 2) that they may have in common.

i've had similar problems w/ my 91 n/a.... and i kno other people that have same thing.

one day my driver side window wouldn't work.... it would fix itself, and then two weeks later the same thing to the passenger side. my horn sometimes will work, sometimes not. right now my power mirrors don't work.

the oddest thing is they eventually fixed themselves.

Sounds like a wire thats broken inside it's sheathing. Usually near where the door opens and closes causing the wire to bend back and forth causing the break.Vibrations, opening, closing, bumps, etc.,can make a connection for awhile then disconnecting again. it can drive you crazy. Hard to find because of that. Happens to door speakers alot too.

oh yea i had the pass side speaker that used to go out like that. when i went over bumps

it wasn't speaker wires cause i installed aftermarket wires, thicker through the loom because of the factory amp bypass bullshit. but a year and a half later and it went out all wierd when driving.

that one also fixed it self
