I fixed my smoking problem....weird....check this out

My car was smoking after boost, really bad. It smelled horrible. I couldnt figure it out for weeks. I thought it was my turbo (jdm ct26) and replaced it with a ct20b. It still smoked.... Now im thinking engine. Did a compression test and my mechanic told me it was perfect. 185-185-185-185. Last night for the heck of it, I said to my buddy. "Hey, lets vent my BOV to the atmosphere and see what happens" Well I did that, and guess what? No smoke what so ever. It was that bad that I could see the level drop on my dipstick. Now there is NO smoke at all after venting the BOV. What in the world is causing the smoke when the BOV is vented to the intake? Its a aftermarket BOV because I have a trunk mount and could not use the stock with my set-up. Any ideas? This is the weirdest thing I ever heard of...

only thing i can think of is a bad PCV valve... your getting oil into your intake stream and its being burned up. the boost is sucking oil up from the sump

venting to the atmosphere is preventing most of it from entering the combustion chamber by venting the oil. are you seeing signs of oil or residue near the blow off valve...?

I have a catch can installed and it does NOT catch anything. There are no traces of oil anywhere. Tiny bit on the intake side of the turbo but thats normal.
