Looking for 12's

I have a buddy that has a JDM 3rd gen swap and he doesnt have much done to it. 14-15psi, full exhaust, intake, ebay downpipe, ebay manifold, 255 fuel pump. and thats it. He ran a 12.3 in the 1/4 at 111mph. He is still on stock Intercooler, and everything else (ct20b). He took it to the dyno today and put down 271rwhp.

My question is, I have a 2nd JDM engine. Mods are full 3" exhaust, intake, 15-16psi, gutted CAT, and trunk mounted IC with 2 SPAL fans, walboro 255 fuel pump, aftermarket clutch. Think i could crack 12's with my engine and the ct20b? What about my old ceremic ct26? How would both those turbos compare against each other in the 1/4 with my mods?

Seemed like my buddy got in low 12's very easily with basic bolt ons, and figured maybe with my JDm 2nd gen with about the same bolt ons minus a downpipe and manifold, plus a trunk mount intercooler, maybe i could hit 12's too? Im sort of thinking a 3rd gen may have been a good idea, but was told there was not much difference between the 2 engines, and I already have the ct20b which i guess was the main difference besides bigger injectors. Im looking for at least 260rwhp on the stock fuel system (except i have a walboro 255 fuel pump) to keep it safe. I heard the max power from the stock fuel system is around 275-285rwhp. So figured 260rwhp would be safe, and still net me 12 second passes. Think my mods can do that?

Its definitely possible, but you have to take into account all the things that come into play at a track (and don't use a g-tech, they are crap). Tires, track conditions, how good you are at driving (it sounds like you have never been to a track, and the first time is a very humbling experience for many, it sure was for me). anyway, the point is that it is possible, but that doesn't mean it will happen.

I been to the track a few times, but not with this car. I have just as much expierence then my buddy has. I figure if he did a low 12, then I should be able to do a high 12 with almost the same mods. Just he has a 3rd gen. Maybe do a low 12 too? I dont know. I found a tdo6 kit and wish i would have gotten that now. LOL

TD06 is a good kit. you would have to get it tuned though. you should be able to hit 12's, go to the track and find out, thats the only way to know.

Trap speed is an indicator of horsepower. If you buddy went 111 mph, he was
putting down 300 rwhp unless he has done a monstare amount of weight reduction.
