height issues...? Mk2 interior space...

question for Gen2 MR2 owners or anyone else who may know... about how tall would be the maximum to fit comfortably in a 91-95 mr2? my friend and i are looking at getting ourselves an mr2 each, and he's 6'3 - so if anyone is that tall or knows, please let me know if it would be too uncomfortable for him. or are there any seat mods, if it's too tight? i think we read somewhere that said he'd fit, but i want some confirmation. i'll probably be getting mine first, so i could have him sit in it, but we're uber curious and want to know thanks

I'm am exactly 6' and have plenty of room.
I know a guy that races a MKII who is 6' 2" and
a good frind of mine has a MKII and he is 6'4".

He also lives in NJ like you

I suspect you will be alright.

thanks mate. i'm picking up my white '91 turbo in a few days, so i'll let him sit in it for 5 or 3 seconds and get real life confirmation.

damn im excited - it's been a while since i owned an mr2
used to have a MKI, but i think i'll be happier with this

The MK 2 is much roomier than the MK1, so if you think he could have fit in your old car, he should be fine in the new one. My cousin is about 6'5" and goes about 260 and he fits okay. I don't think it'd be cool for a long trip, but a tall skinny guy should be alright.

my one buddy is 6'3 230 and jacked. has no problem fitting in my mk2. now seeing him squirm into my miata is something that ALWAYS cracks me up.

he has driven my mr2 multiple times with the t-tops on and no complaints. at some point i wouldnt be surprised to hear he bought one.
