New wheels
So, my MR2 needs some new tires, and I'm thinking about getting bigger wheels at the same time. I'm considering getting 17s on the front and rear, specifically F:205/40/17 R:215/40/17. The Rims have tires on them, with decent tread I'm told. On the other hand, a local dealership recommends I keep 15s, but get wider wheels (195/50/15w on the front, 225/45/15 on the rear). The Rims/tires are 500 plus shipping, while the tires are about 475. Any advice on performance? Straightline speed is nice, but I mostly perfer steering and handling over speed.
