2nd Generation What upgrades should i get?

So I am looking at buying this 1991 MR2 non-turbo for under $4,000, and I want to make out on performance and horsepower once I get it. I have a $10,000 limit, 4k into the car so I will have 6k for uprgrades. Which upgrades do you people who own one suggest? Thanks

I suggest getting the turbo model. easy to find for under $8000, and with a few mods it will be much faster than would be easily attainable via n/a 5sfe

There's not much aftermarket support for the N/a Engine of the MR2. It can be modified, but at great expense. Much more than building the Turbo model. If you want to build a fast, reliable car, get the turbo model.

I agree with all of them get a turbo model and play with that dont get the 5sfe. I have one and i have played with it a great deal and it has coist me a great deal more to make fast. I am however extremly proud of my car and like that i did it over the turbo but i would go with the turbo for performance.
