MR2 leaks >_<

Firstly, sorry if this question has been asked before - please direct me to the relevant post if this is the case...

I've just had a 2001 MR2 MK3 for 2 weeks and I've discovered there's a leak, causing water to seep through the right-hand compartment (looking head-on) and filling it with water, which also flows into the other compartment during normal driving. I can't yet see where this originates but on contacting a Toyota garage I've been told that the cost to resolve this, using some modified part - collection bags or something (not sure what he meant), would cost £700 to repair.

Not wanting to spend that much on a car I've only just bought and knowing little about it at this point in time, I was hoping that someone in this forum may be able to either confirm the repair requirements or suggest an alternative method to fix it. It sounds like the procedure requires that some of the car's rear end be dismantled to fit the new part, and from what the service guy said, it's not always a successful job. Bit of a bummer if you spend £700 on it I'd have thought.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Nevermind, I found it. As most people reading this are probably aware (but for those who aren't) there was a blockage in the drain behing the side vents. I found a great explanation of it here; probably very useful to others too. Credit to it's author as it solved the problem effortlessly :-D You live and learn eh!

Some guy was going to charge you $1000+ to remove a blockage. Go kick his ass.
