Performance w/ e153 tranny... axles?

Hey guys,
just posting from my usual home, the Camry forum. I'm looking to putting down some big numbers on my 5sfte project and I was going to use a e153 transmission from a Solara but I needed a little info.
From what I understand, the MR2's which use this same transmission break the CV joints after 300whp? because there is just too much power to the wheels. I seen ATS Racing makes CV joints for the axles that go to this tranny, but I am also not sure whether or not I would need performance or upgraded axles since I plain on putting about 500ft lbs tq, 500hp+. I saw driveshaft.com has some axles good for 550hp, but I wasn't sure if this was necessary or if I should just stick to upgrading the CV joints?
