Why do you need an aftermarket radiator?

Good question.^
The stock radiator can handle any hp/ mod to the engine..
Do you have an automatic transmission? I thought you stated you had a 5 speed.
An auto trans cooler is just that - it cools the trans fluid in a automatic transmission.

I don't know if the N/A and Turbo's share the same radiator. I would guess yes, but thats only a guess. maybe one of the others know.
Of all the swaps I know of, no one has mentioned changing radiators which leads me to believe, they used the stock N/A one.

If thats the case-go for it. Aluminum is better.

crap 1 more thing i was doing the coolant drain and was able to find the draining plug on the radiator and the 2 draining bolt's under the car but the one that has my stomped is the engine drain plag wanted to know if anyone has a picture of that cause the toyota manual drawing is good but would really love to see it in a actual picture and also does that part really need to be drained since all the coolant came out of the other plugs ? thank you again and can't wait for those pics ^_^

It's on the side of the block. But if you want to avoid removing it, just do a flush after you get the new aluminum one installed. It'll be fine.

No, no damage.. Toyota charges $70+ for coolant change. It's very time consuming because of all the long piping from front to back . I do it myself. Use distilled water so there will not be any minerals in the cooling system along with the coolant. 50/50 is good. (Toyota will prolly not use distilled water.)

You don't realy need to go with aluminum radiator. But if you want the best for your car and have the funds, great.

can either get rad rebuilt with dual core rather than spend the money on an aluminum rad.

I run 65/35 (water/toyota coolant) Car never comes close to overheating. Mr2's don't have much cooling problems when your cooling system is functional.

Not easy to get a picture of it, as it is located on the passenger side of the radiator. on the inside corner . Can't miss it. it's a big plastic wingnut.
