1985 MR2 mk1

i have found one of these for sale very cheap and it needs a lot of replacement on parts, i want to get this to hop up but i can't seem to find any place that sells performance or even racing parts for the car
Do any even exist?

or should i find another car to hop up, the only thing is the car is ridiculously cheap @ $100 ( i'm expecting it to be a pos) if it blows up not much lost

tons.... the engine is a 4age.... ae86's have a HUGE support and aw11's (the first gen mr2) has quite the following as well.... it's not a honda where every street corner you look there's a turbo kit awaiting.... you gotta have some inginuity

Yes, well, sort of.
Because we share the same engine layout as the AE86 (which is a highly sought after tuner car) there are many interchangable or easily modified parts that we can use on out AW11's.
Some people take it to sweet extremes and put camry engines in them...that's fun. However you can find many sites that provide specific AW11 parts.
twosrus.com is a great one, and ebay will probably be your next best bet.

(Junk yards too if you can take the time )
