I'm sure in the sellers eyes it's worth that. But is it worth it to you ? Modified vehicles are usually driven hard and fast. Thats why they(we) modify them. You don't go thru all that time and money to putt around.
If you want opinions, you will have to give more info.
What are the modifications?.Does he have documentation for the mods ?
Who did them? a pro ? Novice?
pics.?
Is it a hard top ?
Does he have a dynograph to prove the HP ?
10.5K is high for any 2nd gen.MR2...period..
For that much it better be in great condition, I would check the body/undercarriage. Look at mr2trader.com, and compare prices to others with the same mods/milage etc.

It's a 1993 Toyota MR2 turbo. t-tops. power windows, power locks, power steering, ac, ABS, lsd, leather, premium sound, every option available. so its fully loaded with everything.
All has been done by a pro-installers and he does have all documents of all parts installed and dyno by the shop.
also its carfaxed certified as well and has been in no accidents.
I would say it is modded nicely though the fact ill be adding more, as well in the future i want to rebuild the motor....ya its alot of money but this is one car i can very well appreciate for a long time.
Sounds good... But why do you think the motor needs a rebuild ?
There's no mention of an upgraded clutch. After 280HP, the stock clutch will not hold. So it would have to have an upgraded one.
Power locks, power windows, power steering(electrohydrostatic power assist),A/C, ABS, and cruise control are all standard for the MR2.
As far as the 10.5K price, thats way above market value. So you just need to decide whether it's worth it to you. Have you test driven the car?

ya the future rebuild was to add more power though the power it has now i may just stay with; since on paper its laying 330rwhp, and ya i test drove it and it pulls mad crazy. The clutch surprisingly holds strong considering its the original clutch. Though idk if it being a originial is true but idk how long a clutch can last if driven properly.
Only thing that really worries me is the hi mileage though i have the money to fix any problems just idk, ive had friends who bought hi mileage cars and the engines blew though they did dog the car.
Im not too worried about the price anymore, really what bothers me is the hi mileage i dont know much about this motor so i guess my final question is. How strong/reliable are these motors? The car has been spiritly driven. Any major problems can you think can occur?
I'd give him $8k. Maybe $8,500. It's got some motor work..... and paint... everything else is basically stock. And we all know that mods really don't count for anything. Get compression readings and find out how long that 20g kit has been on there.

the 20g kit has been on it for almost 2 years. I know the guy hes a good friend of mine. I pretty much seen the car modded to this day since hes bought it. I thought about talkin him down to maybe atleast 10 even or maybe 9500.
Just recently my dad told me his co-worker who owns a 2001 Camaro SS is lookin at selling his car now if someone gives him a good offer. It has around 30k miles and I talked to him and said 13000 he said he think about it, so im waiting for is call.
I dont know yet somewhat leanin to the camaro....the bad part is I like both cars alot, wish i could just buy both lol.
