Need some MR2 Advice from the guru's

Hello everyone I have a 1992 V6 Camry LE, but I think I'm gonna be getting rid of it soon. Hopefully not cos I LOVE THAT CAR!

Anyways if I have to get rid of it, I'll need another car fast. I have college and I'm short on money. My friend works at a mechanics shop and they have an MR2 in the backyard. I think it's like an 89 or so. Apparently the owner wants like $100 for it. It's some old guy and he's probably gonna close the shop down soon. The problem is that I live in Washington state and my house is on a fairly steep hill. I know it's a RWD car, but would it handle that hill ok since the weight of the engine is in the back on top of the wheels? Also I was planning on building up my Camry but now I might build up the MR2 instead if I end up getting it. Is it worth building up an older MR2 or is that more of a 1991+ thing?

Thanks!

A lot of people build MKI MR2's.... they are awesome little cars. You won't have any trouble going up hills.... unless it is snow/icy.
