Gen1 tranny swap

hello i have a 87 mr2 and was wondering how hard it would be to swap from an auto tranny to a manual one and cost for parts roughly ill be doing all the labor myself any help will be appreciated thank you

price in parts depends on where you get the parts..... if you have a cheap junkyard then they could be as little as $150 including trans, flywheel, pedals, master/slave cylinders, hard/softlines, etc.....

but if you bought it all brand new from toyota it could cost you over $2000 in parts alone....

it would be the same as running/bending your own brake lines.... not hard if you know what you're doing.... just don't kink them...

or you could spend the big buck and have a very long SS braided line made... then you can run it whever you want and however you want..... would probably cost a couple hundred dollars though
