Suspension Wobble

So, I finally got my silly project driving, and I ran into my first problem.

The car drives like a dream up to about 45 miles an hour, and at that point, the rear end appears to be wobbling back and forth (left to right). The current guess/diagnosis is some combination of a broken and then welded tie rod sleeve and a loose tower brace, both of which are on the back right hand side.

The car did sit for between 6 and 12 months, so we were thinking flat spots in the tires, but my understanding is that flat spots usually cause an up and down movement as oppose to a left and right movement.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know,
Hank

when i bought my mr2 it wobbled as well, found the culprit to be uneven tire pressure. dont know if thats your problem but it is easy to check and free to fix i replaced the tires shortly after.

also if they have flat spots.. it could be really out of balance and cause each side of the car to shake up and down.. but make it pull left and right aswell

get tire pressure checked and re balance those tires.. also do a visual inspection under the car

After further inspection, it looks like it's the bushings. Thanks for the help, guys. I did notice a tremendous improvement when I put new tires on though, but I still need to fix the bushings.
