Good MR2 to buy? Or too much trouble?

Alright, I know, this type of thing is asked to death, but I need opinions of people that know MR2s. Here are the specs:

8.5:1 JE Pistons (0.5mm overbore)
T3/T4-54 trim Turbo (Rebuilt with less than ~1,000 miles on it)
Ceramic Coated Turbine

Custom 3” downpipe
Fujitsubo Legalis-R Exhaust
Custom built aluminum piping
Tial 38mm Wastegate
HKS Super Sequential BOV
Greddy Intercooler with 7.5 fan and shroud
Custom Aluminum Intake Pipe w/ filter
Custom Intake Manifold (side mount)
Custom Throttle Body
Secondary Inline Fuel Pump
Supra 550cc Injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Hux Racing Transmission Bushing Shift Kit
RPS Clutch (not sure which model)
Magnecor Wires

Electronic Modifications:

Accel DFI 6.0 ECM (with CALMAP software and laptop hookup)
MSD Igniter and Coil
HKS Turbo Timer Type 1
Blitz Dual SBC Electronic Boost Controller
Pillar Pod with Autometer Boost and EGT Gauge

Celica GTS Pedal Set (Clutch, Brake, Accelerator)
Razo Shift Knob

Exterior Modifications:

JDM Clear Corners (Toyota)
JDM Color Matched Front Moldings (Toyota)
JDM 94+ Tail Light Modification (w/ color matched center piece and reverse lights) (Toyota)

Wheels and Suspension Modifications:

SSR Integral Rims (16X7 in front and 16X8 in rear) (50% tires)
Tokico 5-Way Adjustable Shocks
Eibach Pro-Kit (1” Drop)

Audio Modifications:

Eclipse Premium 4-Channel Amplifier (Professionally mounted in front trunk with crossovers)
Eclipse 6.5 Component Set (Front) (Dynamated)
Eclipse 10 Aluminum Subwoofer (in a Q-Logic Truck Box that fits perfect behind driver’s seat)
Kenwood Z929 CD/MP3 Player
All rewired with Lighting Audio wiring

Comments:

The good: It's very clean and well cared for. The car has minor dings (few) but the quality of the original paint is amazingly nice. The interior is also VERY clean with much of it original (other than radio, pillar pod, shift knob). The seats are cloth. The mileage on it is about 58K miles. The car is just overall in a really good clean shape. 90% of the modifications were done within the last 4,000 miles and the turbo and piping was rebuilt / done in the last 1,000 miles. Really must see in person.

The bad: Fuel pressure is way too high (due to the fact that the 550cc injectors are too small for the tune) so the fuel pump is overloaded. The fix: I have a new fuel rail included and all it needs are new injectors to be dropped in and the fuel pressure to be turned down (which would mean a re-tune). The exhaust manifold has a slight leak as the head wasn’t machined flat to match the manifold. The IC piping pops off under boost right now because I didn’t buy the right hose connector after I had new pipes made. The engine also rocks a bit back and forth due to bad motor mounts. The fix for that: I have included, but not installed yet new urethane motor mount inserts. The car runs rich, needs a retune. The A/C has been taken out (I still have the unit if you want to hook it back up). There’s a slight crack on the underside of the passenger mirror (not really noticeable). The reverse lights don’t work. The wire needs to be hooked up to the wiring harness and I don’t have the wire anymore. Will have to scavenge another MR2 for one. The wiring for the ECM is messy and located in the trunk. Someone would have to manually clean it up I’ve been meaning to do it, but have been too busy.

Normally Im not down with dealing with other people's projects, but my buddy is good with wiring b/c he's an EE. I don't think the IC hoses would be that hard to replace. Fixng or replacing a slightly leaky turbo manifold would be annoying though. And I could deal with the car running rich for a while, and replacing the motor mounts isn't that big of a deal. I guess what I'm thinking is for that price, I can afford to fix whatever is wrong and have a car with some pretty nice stuff on it.

I think for 4K , it would be worth all the stuff you're gonna have to deal with.Thats if you're willing... A bone stock one in so so condition would go for close to that..

If your no mechanic, have someone look at it for you. Would be awesome if all is accurate. Any receipts? Is it in your area? Have you talked the the seller on the phone? Why is the owner selling it? He puts more than a few thousand into it and now wants to sell it.
