5sfe to 3sgte swap

So i bought a jdm clip and came with everything, i installed everything so far but the harness/ecu, here is where my dilemma comes, is there a way to adapt the 93t jdm engine harness to my 91na body harness?? so far what i've seen is the 93 engine has 34 wires and the 91 has 31, any input will be really appreciated, i've been looking all over for this, but havent found much info at all

Umay be able to, but even if u can its probably not worth your time and research if you have the whole harness from the donor car. u dont wanna put it all together then find out u made some wrong connections later

well i dont know what else to do, the mechanic is doing it, we have the repair manual, and a mr2 wiring manual, and this is the last thing that i need, engines swaps are such a pain

Alot of the extra wires on the 93t side is probably for things the NA wouldnt have...like a boost gauge for example.

the only real wires you need to tap into are the wires for speed sense, oil pressure, water temp, battery voltage, tach, ground, 12v power, crank sense, TVIS, VSV, etc.

Just cut the end off of the 91 NA side of the harness and start hooking the wires from the 3SGTE ECU. http://forums.twobrutal.com/files/3S...ide%20v1.0.pdf (registartion may be required) this is a link to a tutorial on wiring a 3SGTE into a 1986-89 MR2. The charts and info in it are usefull and Im sure it will help you along.

Most of the colors for the important things do not change much at all through the years, even between. When I wired my 89 MR2 with the 3SGTE, 15 of the 18 or so wires I needed were the same colors on both sides.
